Custom Cobra Recurve

Our Cobra recurves feature our power-packed supercurve limbs. Crafted with bamboo at the core, these limbs are cloaked in carbon twill for maximum performance. This material configuration introduces additional noise-dampening qualities for a whisper-quiet release. We often hear from hunters who were afforded a second shot in the field due to the amazing quietness of our bow.

Each handle is borne from a solid block of performance-enhancing black linen-based phenolic (aka Micarta) which lends exceptional stabilizing qualities due to the added mass weight and high density of the material.

There are numerous options and considerations when ordering your custom Cobra recurve, including:

Limb Attachment System

Our basic attachment system is an exclusive double-bolt, double-pin limb attachment system ensures precise limb alignment and is a great choice for the budget-minded.,

Those looking for a performance boost can upgrade to our Stabi-Lockâ„¢ design. This system features an aluminum wedge with detents that seat into the receiving channel of a Stabi-Lockâ„¢ bow handle. With the added mass of these wedges advantageously placed at each end of the handle, the benefits are increased efficiency, stability and quietness. Assembly and disassembly is as simple as a slide to click in place – and a nudge to disengage. There are no bolts, and as such, no tools or parts to lose or create noise in your pack. And finally, with no exposed bolts, the Stabi-Lockâ„¢ design boasts a sleek profile that rivals that of a one-piece bow while preserving the versatility of a takedown.

Handle Length

Our standard handles are 19″. Our overall bow lengths (AMO) are based on a 19″ handle.

We also offer handles in 15″ which are well-suited for those seeking a short bow. For example: Since the 15″ handle is 4″ shorter than our 19″ standard handle, a set of 60″ limbs paired with the 15″ would render a bow length of 56″. This is a great option for archers with shorter than average draw lengths, and also for those seeking an abbreviated bow for hunting blinds or easier pack-in.

Our 17″ handle is often paired with longer limbs to bring more performance value to the bow. If you are a gap shooter or rely on the full sight window for your shooting style, you … For instance, if you’d like a 62″ recurve, you can achieve that length with a 19″ handle, 62″ limb configuration or with a 17″ handle, 64″ limb setup.

Our 23″ handle offers advantages to our target archers or for those with long a draw length. With an additional 4″ in the sight window, this handle choice introduces extra overall mass to the bow and eliminates the need for canting, making it the perfect choice for competition shooters. Our 23″ handle does require an upgrade fee.

Limb Length

Our Cobra recurve limbs are available in 60″, 62″ and 64″ and can be paired with shorter handles or longer handles to achieve a 56″ bow, a 58″ bow, a 66″ bow or a 68″ bow.

Overall Bow Length

Available in 56″ up to 68″, depending on your choice of handle length.

Handle Design

Our basic black handle comes standard with your choice of exotic wood veneer overlays on the back of the riser. Coordinate or contrast with accent veneers at each end of your limbs – the tips and caps. (Sidenote: We’re always happy to suggest tried-and-true veneer pairings).

Side accents are an optional upgrade to your handle design. Wood side panels are incorporated into each side of the handle for added aesthetics.

Shooting Style and Orientation

Left handed? No problem. We build for right- and left-handed shooters. 3 under or split finger? We will tiller accordingly, but just so you know: Our bows can be shot either way, regardless of tiller with a slight nocking point adjustment on the string.
