This buildout began with a solid slab of stabilizing black Micarta for superior strength that were adorned with side panels of of uniquely-hued African Wenge (which has been described as having the color of coffee, specifically espresso). The handle back is crowned with one of our newest favorites, Pepperwood Burl, offset by Black Micarta in a dynamic four-layer design.

Our smooth-shooting recurve limbs are adorned with glorious Pepperwood Burl, culminating in limb tips featuring yet more Pepperwood Burl with a repeat on the face of the limb caps under the bolts. Our exclusive dual-bolt limb design delivers double assurance of alignment precision.  Beautiful bow in a lean shooting weight!

Fast and stable, our HardCore recurve or long bow is available with a center core in an exotic hardwood, or with a core of Micarta.

Our Micarta HardCore offers the exceptional advantage of Micarta (a linen-based phenolic) for strength, speed and smoothness while affording the aesthetics of highly-charactered wood. With this series, we’ve added stabilizing mass with an inner core of Micarta, sandwiching it between with outer layers of exotic woods such as Bubinga, Shedua or Curly Maple. We also offer our HotShot Hardcore, so named for the introduction of our compiled ActionWood in vibrant colors.

Micarta HardCores are available with our dual-pin, double-bolt limb attachment system as well as our acclaimed Stabi-Lock™ tool-free, performance-boosting limb attachment system.
