The handle back is crowned with Mappa Burl with an underlayment framed in Black Micarta for a dynamite look.

The exotic design continues with uniquely charactered Mappa Burl with bold eyes and iridescent ripples. The limb design culminates in four layers of Mappa Burl with Black Micarta on the limb tips. Limb caps are also faced in Mappa Burl, echoing the limb tip design. Our Micarta HardCore offers the exceptional advantage of Micarta (a linen-based phenolic) for strength, speed and smoothness while affording the aesthetics of highly-charactered wood. With this series, we’ve added stabilizing mass with an inner core of Micarta, sandwiching it between with outer layers of exotic woods such as Bubinga, Shedua or Curly Maple.
