We’ve handcrafted this 19″ handle from solid black linen-based Micarta, introducing extra muscle and performance and providing the perfect canvas for accents on the handle back in Walnut Burl atop a punctuating layer of Birdseye Maple framed in black Micarta.
Our high-performance recurve limbs feature the buttery swirls of Birdseye Maple running the length of these powerhouse limbs. Limb tips offer up a complement of Birdseye Maple sitting atop Walnut Burl framed in Micarta. Limb caps are crowned in Walnut Burl. A recurve that shoots as great as it looks!

About our Heavyweight
We build our Heavyweight model beginning with a solid block of performance-enhancing black linen-base Micarta which lends exceptional stabilizing qualities due to the added mass weight and high density of the material. The Heavyweight has earned a place in our Performance line for the advantages introduced by the mass weight of the materials.
Center striping highlights the divided handle while overlays provide further embellishment on the handle back.
We build our Heavyweights in a takedown recurve or takedown longbow, either with our dual-pin, double-bolt limb attachment design, or with our exclusive performance-boosting Stabi-Lockâ„¢ tool-free limb system. Available as a right-hand or left-hand bow.
